Co-Pastor Nominating Committee Update - October 2024
The Co-Pastor Nominating Committee (CPNC) has been very busy over the last month continuing its organizational and planning pathway, and we are getting closer to being able to interview our first candidates to become our next Co-Pastor!
Along with support from the Hudson River Presbytery and our Consultant, Michelle Snyder, the CPNC has entered the final stages of the preparation work that will allow it to meet with candidates.
As outlined in the CPNC’s update during Church Service on Sunday September 22, the CPNC has the following to report as complete:
- A written job description, approved by the Session, is now posted on the Church Leadership Connection website - which is the job posting board for Church positions nationwide
- A working interview guide for the CPNC to use during our first-round interviews
- An internal process to conduct interviews and an organized structure to evaluate candidates
Additionally, the CPNC is working with Michelle Snyder to source candidates identified through Michelle’s professional network.
The CPNC is utilizing the Transition Team, to provide both updates and to serve as a connection to church members. Should you have any questions for the CPNC or are looking for additional information about CPNC’s process, please reach out to the Transition Team at .
The Transition Team is also working with the Clergy & Administrative team at Rye PC to ensure that the process of our interim planning runs smoothly, to fill in any gaps when needed and to allow the CPNC to do its work uninterrupted.
We wish all of you a happy Fall, and we are grateful for the many expressions of support you have given us on our journey. We are blessed to be in your company.
