Hurricane Relief

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. – Song of Solomon 8:7

Our Mission and Outreach Committee voted to expend $10,000 for emergency hurricane relief. $5,000 of this amount is being sent to Siesta Key Chapel (The Presbyterian Church on Siesta Key, FL) where the Rev. Dr. Ruth Smalt is pastor. Ruth was a longtime member here at RPC and raised her family here prior to going to seminary. We are entrusting Ruth and the church leadership to discern how these funds might best used for hurricane relief. 

The other $5,000 is being sent to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance which is already responding to the devastation left behind by the hurricanes, with teams on the ground in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. We ask that you join us in this endeavor by giving to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. You can do so in one of two ways: 1) send a donation to RPC noted for hurricane relief; 2) visit pda.pcusa.org to donate, or visit presbyterianmission.org. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
