Columbarium update

As you may or may not know, the ashes of over 500 church members are interred in the lovely walled garden area on the Boston Post Road, side of the chapel.  Brass nameplates on the walls remind us of the great communion of saints that have gone before us and surround us still. 

With great thanks to an anonymous donor, several sizable improvements are in the works for this important part of our church.  Already, the walkway from the front driveway to the chapel doors has been set in concrete, and all the trees surrounding the columbarium have been pruned.  Soon the walkway within the columbarium itself will be reset, the stones of the platform area around the cross remortared, the garden beds refreshed with new plantings, and the sprinkler system replaced.  Finally, we plan to add niches to the north wall.
