I WANT TO UNDERSTAND - a new RPC prison ministry

                                A New and Exciting Group
                                                     sponsored by Rye Presbyterian Church

This is an opportunity for two different groups to share in a meaningful dialogue and grow in understanding of what it is like to be the other person.

This will be an interactive discussion group on Zoom, held on the first Sunday of every month beginning on Sunday, May 5, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

The group will consist of half formerly incarcerated men and women, and half members from the church and community. The size and make-up of the group will be limited to facilitate more discussion.

The group will be co-led by Michael Steedly, a formerly incarcerated individual and a mentor to the men in prison as well as to men and women on the outside since his parole, and Nancy Steed, a long– time church member. Michael and Nancy are experienced group leaders and very active with RPC’s Prison Ministry.

Participants are expected to:

• Be consistent with their participation
• Observe the group’s ground rules
• Engage in the discussion
