Sunday School News
For the month of May, we will continue learning for most of the month about what it means to live out the grace experienced through Jesus Christ. Halfway through the month, Pentecost Sunday arrives, when new life is breathed into Christ’s body – the Church. We will turn our focus then on what it means to be called out into the world, to love without fear, and how to put our trust in God as we accept such a call.
Below are the focus texts of each week:
May 6: John 15:9-17
May 13: Acts 1:15-17, 21-26, Bible Sunday/Mother’s Day
May 20: Acts 2:1-21, Pentecost Sunday
May 27: Isaiah 6:1-8, Enrichment Sunday
There will be no Sunday School this Sunday. Children will be welcomed in the Westminster Room for Enrichment activities.
Baby Box Donations: The children of our church and their families are invited to participate in the collection of Baby Box items from May 7 through June 2! It is a great way to put into practice what they have been learning about in Sunday School: to share the gracious love of God with one another.
Your donations of newborn basics go together with a remarkably designed cardboard box to be used as the baby’s first bed and to support new moms giving their babies a healthy and safe start in life. Please take a look at the Baby Box Project flyer included in this month’s Grace Notes to learn more about the project and what your family can do to help. Please also feel free to leave donated items in each of the empty Baby Boxes on display in the Chapel Foyer, the hall outside the first floor Welcome Office, and in the RPNS entranceway.
